Small Point and Shoot Aerial Balloon Systems
The Aerial Products small point and shoot balloon camera systems are some of the lightest available in the world. The systems are very easy to operate and transport. Using a small 9.5 ft (2.9m) blimp or a 6 ft. (1.8m) Kingfisher the balloon fits in many vans and SUVs. There are no compromises in functionality to the larger systems, you have full wireless control over pan/tilt and zoom and live video on the 7" ground station monitor. The highly-rated Pentax Optio A40 camera has 12mpx and image stabilization and the Nikon P6000 has embedded GPS, 13.5 megapixels and raw shooting mode.

This is also one of the systems easiest to upgrade cameras because most of the manufacturers have maintained the physical size and interfaces of each model's generation.

Blimp compared to Kingfisher

The blimp system, which includes a back up ball, can fly in winds up to approximately 15 mph/24kph. The camera gimbal is mounted directly below the balloon. The blimp and ball do not require a winch to hold the tether line.

The Kingfisher, even a small version, can fly in winds up to 50 mph/80kph. In the smaller size necessary for the point and shoot cameras, a winch MAY not be required. However, in higher winds a winch is necessary to hold onto the tether as the balloon will pull in excess of 100 to 150 pounds. With the Kingfisher, the camera gimbal is mounted 10ft./3m below the balloon on the main tether line using the included aluminum or carbon fiber triangle.

About the camera purchase service, we will purchase the camera for you and include the camera with your system for a small charge to cover shipping and handling from B and H Photo to our facility.
